Lucky Dog was founded in 2018 by New York native, Andrew Halter. Shortly after volunteering at a large animal sanctuary in the Hudson Valley, Andrew's hands-on experience made him realize that dogs yearn for a far more healthy lifestyle.
Lucky Dog was established with the goal of treating your dog like a member of the family. Our one-on-one approach allows our walkers to focus on your dog and your dog only, while providing adequate exercise and forming the special human-canine bond.

Our comprehensive consultation is a crucial step in ensuring the well-being of your furry companion. We'll take the time to understand your pet's unique needs, preferences, medical and behavioral considerations.
This consultation allows us to tailor our care to your pet and ensure their individual happiness. We'll discuss their diet, exercise routine, and specific medications or supplements they may require.

Using the Time To Pet app, Lucky Dog provides you with GPS tracking of your dog's walk, detailed notes on behavior and quality photos.

Andrew took care of our rescue pup, Daisy, for a week while we were traveling. He sent regular updates and photos to keep our minds at ease. Andrew and his staff are very professional and friendly - I always feel good about leaving my dog with them. They spend extra time to leash train my dog and always send updates during and after the walks. I’m very grateful to have found them!
Andrew is a top-notch guy. My dogs love him and I can tell he cares about them as much as I do. He puts his heart and soul into his business and is dedicated to going the extra mile for each of his client's canine companions. Not only is he amazing at handling my two 80lb Bulloxers, he's also very professional. Andrew is very responsive and never takes more than an hour to reply (and that's only if he's on another walk at the time.) He's polite, friendly, trustworthy and really listens to any concerns or instructions you may have. I've been using him for years and I'd consider him to be a big part of our fur-family. We even call him Uncle Andrew!
